Last Minute Decorating

Got some chenille, light blue bedspreads yesterday for the bedroom. It was nice to have a made bed and the chenille is warm when it's cool at night. My bedroom is in good shape. Today I was up early saying good bye to Margo and Ray from Illinois. They have a park model (double wide) and they're driving home. He told me about an auto train where your car is on the train and you have a compartment to sleep, shower and sit. I looked into it; I'm not sure it runs from Boston but lets just say I've ridden enough trains in the northeast corridor! I could go to DC and pick it up from there. Your meals are included in the dining car. It takes 18 hours to get to FLA. We'll see. I like my set up right now.

I worked yesterday, got to do jewelry display and some organizing of the stock room. I know I've said it but I will miss this job this summer; glad I'm going back to it. Tomorrow is our time out at Sharkey's with the work staff. Have a pretty sundress that I got at Fifi's consignment to wear.

Lots of work to do today before I go to the pool with my friend JoAnn from Vermont. We have a lot of New Englanders here. I made friends with a nice couple from Stoughton, right near me. We are going to go out to dinner this summer.

Well, gonna go for now. Will be seeing you all in a week. Can't wait. Love you and miss you!

Where is Everybody?????

Hi guys. I wanted to give you a feel for how the campground has cleared out. This is in front of my trailer, just one camper, Rick and Flo. They're staying til May 17th. The camper on the far right is being stored, they just left today for New Jersey. I have enjoyed this time in the camp because I've gotten to know a lot of people I wouldn't otherwise have met. The whole other side of the campground.

This is a picture of the empty sites behind me. It's a little bright but you get the gist. It's normally wall to wall campers. There are about 12-15 campers left. My neighbors, Ron and Linda are staying for a while, they're two sites down so I don't feel alone. Today, I cleared out four trash bags of stuff off the trailer and started wrapping and storing glass. I also got rid of clothes and shoes, yes shoes that I didn't want.

I'm working tomorrow so I'll have a chance to take a break from the packing. It's really nice, there is hardly anyone at the pool so it's nice and quiet. It's been 86 and sunny, hot but nice. I hear there is some great weather in store for New England this weekend. You've certainly earned it!! I've already checked the weather for my return date on May 2nd and it's rain and 60. I've tempered my expectations and would be happy with 60s if I can get it.

This Sunday my boss is taking us to Sharkey's on the water for a send off for me and another gal that is leaving for the summer and to celebrate our success as a business unit. I'm really going to miss my job here but will be returning next season so that's good.
Well, I'm going to go outside for a while. Oh, here's a picture of Nellie from the side and I'll take another one when I'm all packed up. Also, my new footstool that I painted orange, of course, today. Love you all, see you soon!

Things Are Winding Down!

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't written. I've been spending time saying goodbye to half the campers in the park. Here's a picture of how it has cleaned out. My neighbors are still here til the 27th, Jan and Curt, and Mike and Sue from Rhode Island are here for another week on the other side.
I've begun to get my arms around coming home, so happy to see all my friends and family. It will take me the better part of the next couple of weeks to get Nellie ready for storage, cardboarding the windows, cleaning out the fridge and putting newspaper in, believe it or not kitty litter in containers to absorb the moisture down here with all the humidity. I also accumulated a lot from yard sales so I want to weed through that too. Get my cabinets and bins in shape, etc. etc.
Been spending a lot of time by the pool; it's a great temp and not too crowded. For Easter, I'm making a lasagna for Curt, Jan and I. I was also invited to a coworker's house. Will miss my family on the holiday and going to my brother's mass.
Well, things are quiet but good. Heard the spring weather up there is not too hot so I'm happy to be here for now. Still working a couple days a week and that is going well. They're looking forward to having me back which is great. The whole staff is going out before I leave for a night out. Looking forward to that!
Well, all for now. Miss you and love you!
